Caribou Announces Sixth Studio Album, ‘Honey’

Caribou has announced his forthcoming sixth studio album, Honey.

Set to arrive via Merge Records on Friday, October 4, the 12-track LP will mark venerated producer Dan Snaith’s first album under his most commercially popular alias in four years, following 2020’s Suddenly.

“I am VERRRRRY excited for you to hear it,” Snaith wrote of the album on Instagram yesterday. “there is a lot of joy in this album – it made me really happy making it and the whole time i was thinking of you and hoping it would bring you joy too… when you listen to it alone or with friends, when we get to play it for you live with the band.”

Alongside the announcement, the Canadian has also shared his latest Caribou track, “Come Find Me,” which features on the forthcoming album alongside previously released singles, “Honey,” “Broke My Heart,” and “Volume.” Check out the full tracklist below.

Ahead of the release of Honey this fall, Snaith is set to perform as Caribou during an intimate four-night residency at The Waiting Room in East London from September 8-11. He’ll be joined at the 120-capacity venue by his full band—comprising Ryan Smith, Brad Weber, and John Schmersal of Vertical Scratchers—marking both Snaith and the band’s smallest shows ever.

All tickets to the London shows are free and will be awarded via lottery. Fans can sign-up for the lottery here before it closes on Sunday, September 1 at 11:59PM.

Snaith is also slated for a performance for Boiler Room in Belfast, Ireland, on September 14, and has announced a Caribou world tour kicking off in October. The 25-date run will open with gigs in Tokyo and at Amsterdam Dance Event before Snaith plays in North American cities like Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, New York, Montreal, and more.

The tour will continue in Europe in February. Joy Orbison and Yunè Pinku will provide support on select dates. Find a complete list of tour dates below.

Over a career spanning more than two decades, Snaith has become one of underground dance music’s most revered artists, releasing under three different studio aliases—Manitoba, Caribou, and Daphni—since 2001, and earning two Grammy nominations for his Caribou projects Our Love and “You Can Do It.” Honey will mark his 10th total studio album.
