Turkish-Italian rising star Carlita and German DJ duo Andhim have come together to release their debut collaborative EP, Life, on DJ Tennis‘s label, Life And Death.
Life is subtle yet electric, blending Andhim’s signature “super house” sound with atmospheric melodies.
The title track, “Life,” is ethereal and uplifting, reminiscent of a sunrise set on the beach with a sparkling energy.
“Nation” is much groovier, with a soulful sound bringing a jungle-like feel to an otherwise ambient single.
Carlita said about working with Andhim, “I’ve always been a huge fan of Andhim ever since I started getting into electronic music when I was much younger. They’ve always inspired me and I have always admired the music that they produce.”
She continued, “When we decided to finally get in the studio together it was so natural and we really fed off each other’s vibe and managed to create these two amazing tracks which I am so happy with. Each of us has our parts which we have weaved into these tracks and I feel they are really unique and I can’t wait for the release.”
Carlita is a multi-talented musician, having played classical cello at the Royal Academy of Music, and she is now bridging the underground and high fashion worlds with her NYFW party called Senza Fine.
Andhim were hip hop turntablists in the 90s before forming an electronic duo in 2010. They’ve spent the last decade of their careers pioneering their signature sound they’ve named “superhouse.”
