Cercle Unveils New Immersive Show Concept To Tour In 2025

Cercle, the Parisian event promoter and livestream platform known for hosting DJ sets in seemingly impossible global locations, has announced a new high-tech show hitting the road in 2025.

The new touring show, dubbed Cercle Odyssey, will blend live music with 360-degree panorama projection, a new production package designed to create an immersive experience with music-synchronized high-definition footage displayed on massive screens, roughly 40 feet tall and 180 feet long.

As opposed to traditional LED screens, Cercle Odyssey will make use of 29 state-of-the-art projectors, and all sound, light, and projection equipment will be rented locally in each performance city.

Cercle notes that this is a sustainable choice, eliminating the need to transport large numbers of LED panels between cities, and thereby drastically reducing transportation emissions and energy consumption.

Headed up by Paris-based director Neels Castillon, Cercle Odyssey’s visual subject matter will focus on themes of humanity, nature, beauty, and, inspired by Homer’s Odyssey, the “universal quest of returning home,” according to a press release.

“Visually, we will keep up and even transcend our very specific and unique Cercle signature. The videos will be real, human and natural,” Cercle founder and creative director Derek Barbolla said in a press release. “We feel that we need this sort of humanity in the content, in a world where we sometimes feel disconnected from nature, from Earth.”

Shows will feature musical performances from artists of an array of electronic genres and backgrounds, with specific artists, dates and cities to be revealed in the coming months. Cell phone use will be prohibited at each event. However, Cercle will give guests a digital folder of professionally filmed content from the performance they attend.

Since its launch in 2016, Cercle has produced over 240 events at picturesque locations across the globe, including roughly 30 UNESCO World Heritage sites, from the Eiffel Tower to Bolivian salt flats and even an ancient Egyptian temple. Performing artists have included Adriatique, Carlita, Amelie Lens, Disclosure and many more.

Pre-registration for Cercle Odyssey is now open here.
