Charlotte de Witte Announces Pop-Up NYC Block Party

Charlotte de Witte has announced a free pop-up event coming to New York City this week.

The venerated techno producer and DJ’s KNTXT label will return to NYC lifestyle boutique Extra Butter’s location in Lower Manhattan for a retail pop-up and block party this Thursday, June 20.

In collaboration with Beatport, de Witte will deliver a not-so-surprise performance outside of the shop at 125 Orchard St. from 7PM to 8PM. The special set will also be streamed on Beatport’s YouTube channel the following day, June 21, at 12PM ET.

The forthcoming takeover marks de Witte’s second collaboration with Extra Butter, following last year’s pop-up event, which kicked offer her acclaimed Overdrive tour. After the block party, a KNTXT-specific retail pop-up at 124B Allen St. will remain open through June 22, operating from 11AM to 7PM daily.

In addition to offering exclusive merchandise and limited-run KNTXT apparel, the label pop-up will celebrate the release of de Witte’s new single, “How You Move.” The driving, acid-heavy track is slated for release via KNTXT tomorrow, June 20, and serves as the second single off of her anticipated new Roar EP.

The celebration will continue on Friday, June 22, with a massive Teksupport-produced KNTXT show at New York’s new 5,000-capacity Brooklyn Storehouse venue, featuring performances from AIROD, Alignment and Hiroko Yamamura, in addition to a headline set from de Witte. Tickets are still available here.

Fans can keep up with all of the label happenings this week on KNTXT Music’s official Instagram page.
