Belgian techno powerhouse Charlotte de Witte has announced her highly anticipated EP Overdrive as the cornerstone of her broader Overdrive campaign in collaboration with her own record label, KNTXT.
The EP marks her first US-centric campaign within the KNTXT label and features an electrifying blend of energetic tracks with a gritty, urban edge.
Through her innovative music, de Witte has gained a devoted following and critical acclaim for seamlessly merging different styles and genres to create a distinctive sound that defies traditional classification.
Now, she is ready to unveil her highly anticipated Overdrive EP at The Brooklyn Mirage on May 18-19, 2023, in a display of the city’s raw, unfiltered energy.
The weekend will present two specific shows for de Witte. On May 18, she will play an extended set alongside fellow techno purveyors Chris Liebing, Hiroko Yamamura, and Henry Brooks.
Then on May 19, de Witte is bringing her KNTXT Konnected concept to the Mirage where in she will share the stage with label regulars ONYVAA and Indira Paganotto for exclusive B2B sets.
These events will be the highlight of the Overdrive Campaign, which includes a KNTXT pop-up shop at Extra Butter from May 17-20, featuring exclusive merchandise and apparel inspired by the EP and hosting pop up sets from other artists.
“Overdrive is a love story between hip hop and techno, it’s inspired by both genres, but coated in a techno jacket,” said de Witte. “It’s meant to be played loud while driving at night and watching the city lights pass by, and where better to experience that than in New York City?”
