Dirtybird Campout just released the lineup for the 2017 edition of the festival. OG Dirtybirds like Claude Vonstroke and Justin Martin are topping the bill, but there are more than a few pleasant surprises on the roster as well.
Mija will bring her renowned “Fk A Genre” brand to the Campout with the help of Netsky and Ryan Forever, while hip hop stalwarts like Low End Theory‘s Daddy Kev and the Soulection crew will have no shortage of vibes.
Beyond that there are plenty of house and bass artists which Campout veterans have come to expect. EPROM will return with Alix Perez for a Shades set. House legends Jesse Rose and Riva Starr will go back-to-back. Araabmuzik will display his incomparable skills with an MPC. There will even be some straight-up techno from the likes of Matthew Dear and Coyu.
This lineup also comes with a whole new Campout as well. The festival moved from Oak Canyon Park in Southern California to Lake San Antonio, four hours north of LA.
The new venue is on the same lake as Lightning in a Bottle, but the South Shore instead of the North Shore. According to the official Campout website, the campgrounds will be about a mile from the lake. So hopefully swimming will be an option.
The new venue will also have room for two dedicated stages this year. One of the primary reasons for the move was that new restriction at OCP would force music to end at 10 P.M.. Veterans of the Campout know this is unacceptable, and the new venue should allow for a full late-night experience. Maybe with two stages instead of one.
