Chicago is officially back open for business and the Windy City never falls short when it comes to hosting some amazing summer festivals. For those who love to dance, you’ll want to head over to Fashion Bar (Water Tower Place) as The Get Down Chicago presents Shuffle-Palooza, hosted by the Chicago Shufflers July 24th-25th. This daytime dance party and music festival marketplace is the very first of its kind in the US, specifically being the first shuffle dance festival aimed at bringing various shuffling communities together under one roof.
The Get Down Chicago’s founder Cory Person explained, “The idea for Shuffle-Palooza came from a collective desire to create inclusive social spaces and community engagement through art, music, fashion, and live performances. As the largest shuffling organization in the Midwest, the Chicago Shufflers were the perfect group to help create and host this event in our city.”
Shuffle-Palooza will include a fully curated art gallery, marketplace, live DJs w/ dance performances, shuffling tutorials, free giveaways, morning yoga, and more. They’ll also be raffling off a 4 day GA wristband for Lollapalooza.
