Chris Lake has just announced an epic return to the Big Apple this summer.
The two-night, open-air affair dubbed “Black Book on the Pier” will see the tech house hero bring his acclaimed Black Book Records label crew to New York City’s waterfront Brooklyn Army Terminal on July 19 and 20, 2024.
Known for iconic tracks like “Turn off the Lights” and “In The Yuma,” as well as more recent hits like “Beggin’,” “More Baby” and his red-hot Gotye edit with FISHER, Lake will perform a headline set on both nights, joined by an all-star support lineup.
Fellow UK favorite and Lake’s Anti Up collaborator, Chris Lorenzo will feature as the event’s special guest on night one—Friday, July 19. Further opening night support will come from Latin tech standout and “Frikitona” producer Andruss, as well as Book Club Radio‘s Jojo Lorenzo.
Night two—Saturday, July 20—will see Chicago house legend Green Velvet control the decks as the evening’s special guest. Additional performances will come from New Jersey great Harry Romero and new Black Book signee Cole Knight.
Event promoter EMW Presents has promised “an immaculate mix of casual warehouse vibes and a summertime soiree” at the Brooklyn Army Terminal.
The “raw” warehouse space, a military base-turned-manufacturing campus in Sunset Park, is one of New York’s most heralded reclaimed venues, offering unobstructed waterfront views of the Manhattan and New Jersey skylines.
Black Book Records’ hot start to 2024 has included a star-studded label showcase at Miami Music Week and a steady stream of releases from artists like Bontan, Cloonee, Melé, and Lake himself.
Collaboratively performing as Anti Up, Lake and Lorenzo will make their anticipated return to Coachella this weekend, where they’ll also perform on weekend two. Last week, the pair shared their first Anti Up music in nearly two years, including the SoundCloud-released “MONEY” and their double-sided single “The Weekend / Control The Media.”
