Chris Lake and Chris Lorenzo have finally released “Long Jacket.”

Produced in collaboration with fellow studio wiz Kenny Beats, the much-hyped rework of CAKE’s 2001 hit, “Short Skirt/Long Jacket,” arrives today on the Anti Up pair’s newly minted label, Long Jacket Music, after almost a year of waiting.

The track has been one of Lake and Lorenzo’s most sought-after IDs since Lake premiered it in his landmark headline debut at Red Rocks last year. Now, after the pair cleared their sample of CAKE frontman John McCrea’s famous lyric delivery, it lands as an official collaborative release with the era-defining five-piece indie band.

The release is accompanied by an official music video out now on YouTube, which solicited first-time-listening reactions from passersby in Venice Beach, California.

Following tracks like “Make You Fight” with ATRIP, “La Noche 2” with Skrillex, and “Party Time” with Tiga, “Long Jacket” marks yet another massive collaborative release from Lake, while Lorenzo fires off another self-released smash after the charting success of “In This Bih’” earlier this year.
