As Florida prepares for the arrival of yet another hurricane, Miami’s famous Club Space is doing its part to help its fellow Floridians.
With the nightlife institution marked safe from the direct path of Hurricane Milton, the Category 3 storm expected to make landfall on Florida’s central west coast tonight following the devastating destruction of Hurricane Helene last month, the Club Space team announced on social media today that it will be collecting essential goods and supplies for those in need.
“All of us at Club Space are thinking of everyone impacted by Hurricane Helene, we are grateful to the first responders and volunteers that have worked tirelessly to bring their communities back to life,” the club wrote in a statement.
“As our neighbors on the West Coast of Florida brace for the impact of Hurricane Milton our hearts are with the families that have evacuated their homes, we hope everyone is safe and taking all precautions,” the statement continued. “Sending our love to all the Tampa Bay Area Invaders who brighten our dance floor every weekend.”
Club Space is inviting Miami locals to bring essential items such as canned food with pull tabs, bottled water, baby formula, toilet paper, first aid kits, over-the-counter medications, and personal hygiene items to the downtown venue this Friday and Saturday, October 11-12. Local nonprofit Global Empowerment Mission will donate the items to affected households.
