Copa del Rave is closing its World Cup Residency with its biggest watch party yet.
After a month of soccer celebrations soundtracked by leading DJs, the Los Angeles-born charity soccer tournament, event series, and now label will take over LA State Historic Park this Sunday, July 19, for a massive World Cup Final viewing party with a lineup of all-star guests.
In addition to live viewing of the World Cup Final match between Spain and Argentina, the event will feature global beats from heralded Los Angeles collective Pangea Sound, alongside support performances from DINA, Awsumo, and Ronald, plus special guest appearances from BOLO’s Vibraza Records, Gasolina, and Reggaeton Rave. On matchday, another separate World Cup Final watch party will also take over San Diego’s NOVA nightclub.
Throughout the tournament, the Copa del Rave Residency has hosted over a dozen of the world’s best DJs and party curators, showing up in support of their home nations as their teams battle on the pitch. Across several events at two of LA’s top nightclubs, Academy and Exchange, DJs such as BOLO, 8OnTheBeat, Claude VonStroke, Foreigner, DJ Minx, Justin Jay, Todd Edwards, Juos, Mikey Lion, and more have joined the party, alongside live mariachi, vallenato, and tamborazo groups.
Before the final on Sunday, the celebration kicks off tomorrow night as Copa del Rave crowns the champion of its own pop-up charity soccer tournament. The competition’s final four teams—the Copa del Rave All Stars, Bumpy Pitch, Reggaeton Rave, and Vibraza—will square off at Evolve Soccer in Frogtown from 6:30 to 9PM.
The final celebrations also coincide with the release of “CDR Anthem 26,” a soccer-inspired dance cut from regular Copa DJ Papa Lu, and the first record to drop on the newly formed Copa del Rave Records.
All proceeds from the Los Angeles final event will support Copa del Rave’s charity partner Common Goal, a nonprofit that supports increased global access for children to play soccer. Since Copa del Rave’s launch in 2019, the event series has raised over $75,000 for charity.
