COSTA Drops Debut Original, “You Got Me,” With Fortune Favor

COSTA

COSTA just dropped his first original release, “You Got Me.”

Mashing up gritty wobble, robotic textures, and head-bobbing drumbeats, the DMV-based dubstep standout’s new single with Fortune Favor lands on Monstercat today, marking the dawn of a new creative chapter after five years of iconic SoundCloud flips that have posited him as one of dubstep’s ones to watch.

“It’s super exciting to release my first original track!” COSTA said in a statement. “The goal was to bring back nostalgia and bridge genres. The vocals have a catchy 2010s pop vibe and really set the tone for a party atmosphere. ‘You Got Me’ is a song for both dubstep lovers and fans looking to take a step into the bass community.”

The track arrives at a pivotal moment in COSTA’s bass-fueled rise. Since launching his artist project in 2021, the producer and DJ has built his name on reworking iconic records by Timbaland, Tove Lo, Selena Gomez, and more, amassing more than 5 million SoundCloud streams in his first year alone.

In addition to earning support from the likes of Excision, Subtronics, Crankdat, Levity, ALLEYCVT, and Zeds Dead, the artist’s remix talents have led him to breakout performances at Red Rocks, Forbidden Kingdom, Splash House, Bonnaroo, and Electric Forest this year. Now, “You Got Me” arrives to kick the project into second gear, as he gears up for more major appearances at Hulaween and Subtronics’ Cyclops Cove this fall and winter.
