Creamfields Unveils Plans For World’s Largest Indoor Festival Stage

Creamfields has unveiled plans to build a new 30,000-capacity main stage, billed by organizers as the “largest indoor festival superstructure in the world.”

The stage, appropriately named “APEX,” will make its debut at the upcoming edition of Creamfields, which will return to Daresbury, Cheshire in the UK from August 22-25, 2024.

“Combined with jaw dropping production and the electric atmosphere Creamfields is known for, this brand-new addition to the festival’s landscape, shielded from the elements, will offer an epic immersive experience,” reads a page on the festival’s official website.

Following its grand opening on Friday, August 23, the new stage will also feature extended hours on Saturday, August 24, remaining open until 4AM–the latest end time in the festival’s history.

After being previously split into two separate festivals—Creamfields North and South—organizers announced in September that Creamfields 2024 will be combined into one mega festival at the site of last year’s Creamfields North.

No lineup has been announced for the forthcoming edition just yet, but major bookings at Creamfields 2023 included Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Carl Cox, Tiësto, and more.

Founded as a single-day event in 1998, Creamfields has grown to become the UK’s largest electronic music festival, annually attracting 70,000 ravers on each day of the festival.

Check out digital mock-ups and a teaser video for Creamfield’s new “APEX” main stage below. Creamfields 2024 is officially sold out. However, additional information and a limited number of verified resale tickets are available here.
