The Recording Academy has announced the nominees for the 2025 Grammy Awards, recognizing a variety of artists across four dance music categories.
Unveiled during the Grammy nominations livestream on Friday, November 8, the dance acts with the most nominations this year are Justice, who grabbed a double nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance/Electronic Recording with their album Hyperdrama and its lead single “Neverender,” and Four Tet, who also grabbed two nominations for his latest album, Three, and its single, “Loved.”
On the heels of a seemingly never-ending Brat summer, Charli XCX crashed into the dance categories with three nominations, including Best Dance/Electronic Album for her chart-topping Brat LP, Best Dance Pop Recording for her electro-heavy single “Von Dutch,” and Best Remixed Recording for the A.G. Cook remix of the same track.
This year’s nominations also see Zedd recognized in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category for Telos, his first full-length LP in nine years, and KAYTRANADA in the same category for TIMELESS. Other fan-favorite nominations in a variety of categories include Disclosure’s “She’s Gone, Dance On,” Fred again.. and Baby Keem‘s “Leavemealone,” and KAYTRANADA’s “Witchy” featuring Childish Gambino.
Beyond the world of dance music, Beyoncé picked up 11 new nominations, making her the most-nominated artist in Grammy history ahead of her husband Jay Z. Just behind her are Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone with seven nominations, and Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift with six.
Announced in June, the dance music categories at this year’s Grammys are subject to several rule changes this year. The 2025 awards will see the name of last year’s inaugural pop dance award changed to “dance pop” to better reflect the music it is meant to showcase.
Best Remixed Recording will also be redesignated as an official dance/electronic category, following its previous inclusion in the production, engineering, composition, and arrangement field.
