Legendary house and techno pioneer Danny Tenaglia has shared in a video on social media that he has been diagnosed with cancer, leading to the cancelation of several recent performances.
Tenaglia said in the video that after four of the six weeks of treatment, he was feeling better, stating, “The good news is that I feel great. I really believe that we caught this in time.”
And while Tenaglia is going through this tough time, he’s still hopeful and taking on events in the future with the understanding he may have to cancel. He then reinforced how important consistent health tests and prevention are.
But Tenaglia will be selling his studio equipment on Facebook, citing, “This is stuff I haven’t used in so many years which I figured there are some people out there who are going to appreciate it more than I am right now.”
Support has poured in for the artist with fellow dance titans like Nicole Moudaber, Victor Calderone, Dennis Ferrer, Enrico Sangiuliano, and more offering condolences and encouragement during this difficult time.
