David Guetta has remastered U2’s iconic track “Atomic City” into a progressive house banger.

U2 is one of the world’s most iconic rock bands, hailing from Dublin, Ireland. The band was the first name to be announced as a resident of the Las Vegas Sphere, a music and entertainment venue designed to bring the most immersive musical experiences to life (also the largest spherical structure in the world).

U2 performed 40 shows in total there and will perform their final four shows this weekend and next.

David Guetta had the honor of watching one of their performances at the Sphere, and was inspired to make a mix of the song “Atomic City.”

This track first premiered live at the very first U2 Sphere show in September of 2023 and has been a part of every show they’ve played since. The song itself references a city of absolute freedom and a perfect utopia, much like what some think of Vegas, making it the perfect song to premiere at the Sphere.

Guetta’s remix turns the single from a rock song to a high-energy dance track, while still keeping the integrity of the original. A great tribute that even got the approval of Bono, lead singer of U2.
