The collab was teased on Twitter and releases July 16 on mau5trap

deadmau5 is back in the studio again, this time with Canadian musician and vocalist, Lights. This is not the first time the two have worked together, as deadmau5 and Lights worked together back in 2018 with their funky beat-filled track, ‘Drama Free.’ ‘Drama Free‘ was released with an official music video that featured jaw-dropping animations and trippy visuals, all of which were supported by Lights‘ beautiful vocals. The success of both the track and the music video has gotten us very excited for the pair’s forthcoming track, ‘When The Summer Dies,’ which releases in just a couple of weeks on deadmau5‘ label, mau5trap.

When The Summer Dies‘ was first rinsed out earlier this year during one of deadmau5‘ livestreams before it was played live at deadmau5‘ show in Las Vegas in May and then once more in Arizona. Whether it’s collabing on a track or performing together at a major music festival, whenever deadmau5 and Lights get together, something good (if not fantastic) will come out of it.

deadmau5 and Lights‘ new collaboration, ‘When The Summer Dies,’ will be releasing July 16 on deadmau5‘ label, mau5trap. Listen to a sneak peek of the forthcoming collab below.
