Nashville’s Deep Tropics festival has just confirmed its complete roster of headliners for 2024.
Entering its sixth year, the two-day event–widely hailed as “the greenest festival in North America” for its carbon offset and waste-diversion initiatives–will bring leading bass and house music acts to Music City’s Bicentennial Park from August 16-17, 2024.
As Deep Tropics prepares for its “biggest year yet,” organizers have unveiled a new headliner every day this week.
Fresh from his performance as the Super Bowl’s first-ever in-game DJ, Kaskade was revealed as Deep Tropics’ first 2024 headliner on Monday. The eight-time Grammy nominee will perform one of his famous Redux sets at the festival’s Meru Amphitheater on Friday, August 16.
RL Grime will also perform on Friday, August 16, bringing his trailblazing trap productions to Deep Tropics’ Lotus stage. Effervescent house duo Sofi Tukker will headline the Meru Amphitheater on Saturday, August 17. Announced today, Detroit-based dubstep and freeform bass artist PEEKABOO will headline the Lotus stage on Saturday, August 17.
Deep Tropics has also announced a special Sustainability Summit hosted by their non-profit arm, Deep Culture, on August 15. The summit will bring together music industry leaders to discuss “innovative approaches to environmental stewardship.”
Through Deep Culture, the festival diverted an eye-catching 96 percent of waste from landfills in 2023. Deep Culture helped offset the festival’s carbon footprint by planting over 23,000 trees in 2022 alone, in addition to partnering with Ancient Nutrition’s R.A.N.C.H. Project, Trees for The Future, Tennessee Riverkeeper and Bicentennial Capitol State Park.
Deep Culture will additionally kick off the second day of Deep Tropics 2024 with a “transformative experience” curated by DJ Drez, featuring breathwork, yoga, meditation and dance.
Earlier this month, Deep Tropics promoter Full Circle Presents announced that it will bring a “first of its kind” nightclub to Nashville, specializing in house and techno. The club is slated to open on Friday, March 29 with a performance from Kyle Watson.
Fans can register for the 2024 Deep Tropics pre-sale here. The festival’s 48-hour pre-sale will begin Friday, March 1 at 10AM CT. General on-sale will follow on Monday, March 4.
