Defected Records Increases A&R Efficiency With New Partner LabelRadar

Today, iconic house music label Defected Records has announced a partnership with demo submission platform LabelRadar in an effort to streamline their A&R process.

With a storied reputation for landing practically all of the best talent in the scene—Jamie Jones, CamelPhat, Harry Romero, LP Giobbi, and John Summit to name a few—Defected’s talent scouting prowess has never been in doubt.

Now, LabelRadar’s unique platform will help the UK-based label take their talent discovery to the next level by empowering emerging artists and increasing efficiency.

For the first time, Defected Records will welcome demo submissions from artists worldwide, not just to Defected, but to any number of their eleven other acclaimed sublabels, like D4Dance, DFTD, Glitterbox, and more.

LabelRadar, which resides within Beatport Group‘s Music Services division, has continued to revolutionize the music discovery process by “democratizing access to key decision-makers for artists at the demo submission stage.”

“Navigating the deluge of demos that flood any record label can be an exhilarating yet demanding experience,” said Allan Nicoll, Defected’s Head of A&R. “I have spent many years trying to find the best way to deal with an unrelenting inbox, and LabelRadar is the definitive solution: streamlining the process, liberating valuable time for concentrated artist development, and propelling our commitment to nurturing exceptional musical talent.”

LabelRadar has quickly earned the trust of the music industry at large since its inception in 2014. Defected will join other major labels like Armada, Anjuna, Toolroom, Monstercat, and more who are already leveraging the impressive potential of LabelRadar’s platform.

Artists can sign-up with LabelRadar for free and submit their demos to any number of labels all in one place, completely online.

Think you’ve got a track that could make some noise on Defected? Sign up for LabelRadar and submit your demo to their official site.
