Defqon.1 Has Been Postponed Until 2022

Defqon.1, the annual hardstyle, techno, trance, and house festival has been postponed for the second year in a row. The festival has postponed its 2021 dates until 2022 and was originally supposed to take place on June 25-27 of this year but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival has moved its dates to the last weekend of June in 2022. These dates may be subject to change because the festival is still waiting for approval from local officials. Defqon.1 released a statement on their website explaining their decision to postpone the event,

“We understand that this isn’t the news you were hoping for, and we share your disappointment. When we postponed Defqon.1 Primal Energy last year, we had hoped for a more positive update at the beginning of 2021. For the past six months, we have done everything within our power to avoid this outcome, but it simply proved to be an impossible endeavor. Nevertheless, we are confident that the long-awaited gathering of our tribe will take place next year. It’s a matter of time, and while we have to hold on a bit longer, we can already assure you that Defqon.1 Primal Energy will be bigger, bolder and more powerful than ever. A true test for Weekend Warriors, one that embodies the spirit of our tribe to the fullest.”

Keep your calendars marked for June of 2022, as Defqon.1 will be back and better than ever next year.
