Shaq, Also Known As DIESEL, Set To Release Debut Album This Summer On Monstercat

DIESEL, also known in the basketball world as Shaq, is officially dropping his debut album this summer on Monstercat.

DIESEL announced the news on his social media along with a rocking new single called “Bang Your Head” made in partnership with bass artist Hairitage.

The track debuted last year during a show in San Marcos where DIESEL brought out Hairitage to play the song live.

DIESEL only has a few original tracks released including “Welcome To The Playhouse” with Steve Aoki, a remix of “Another Dose” with KOZMOZ, “Moshpit” with NITTI and IVORY, and now “Bang Your Head.”

Shaq has always championed rave and DJ culture, discovering his love for DJing at the age of 14 when he saw the rap legends Public Enemy perform live.

After that, he bought his own decks and has been spinning ever since, even dropping a well-received rap album, Shaq Diesel, in 1993.

Now he’s a bass music advocate, throwing personally curated events like his Bass All-Stars event series in Denver, a Female All-Stars show, and an upcoming full music festival.
