Dombresky just played his first-ever eight-hour set in Ibiza and gave an insight into what was going through his head and how he survived the marathon party.
The extended set was part of an elrow event in Ibiza, which is one of the biggest party promoters on the Balearic Island, known for its whimsical production that includes giant inflatable animals and confetti cannons galore.
Dombresky kept himself focused with a surprisingly little amount of caffeine and food, instead focusing on not cramping from the dancing and strategic shots to keep the energy high.
He started off eating half a banana at hour two (with a shot), before a pick-me-up around hour four of an espresso (and another shot).
Hour six he had a protein bar (and another shot) before finishing up with a Gatorade in the final hour.
And for those burning to know if Dombresky used the bathroom during his extra-long set, he reportedly needed to use the bathroom in hour three but didn’t go until after his set finished.
And while eight hours is a long time to perform for even seasoned DJ veterans, the current official world record for the longest-ever DJ set is from Nigerian DJ Soul Yin, who played for a staggering 243 hours and 30 minutes in October 2021.
