Smashing high-energy tracks into the bass community is what LA-based producer Effin is known for. Staying consistent with his heavy drums and hard-hitting basslines, prepare to be melted into a puddle with his latest EP, Descent, dropping today on Deadbeats.
John Douglas Bowden, better known as Effin, has been fine-tuning his ability to shake up a dance floor with his out-of-the-box sound design skills since he decided to move to LA and dive headfirst into his craft.
As an Icon Collective alumni alongside Kayzo and SLANDER, Bowden has the focus and drive every dubstep artist needs to bring the punch to the hungry headbangers, and that is exactly what he did with thus 4-track EP.
Bowden shared his thoughts about ‘Descent’ in a recent press release stating, “A while ago I had a conversation about a ‘descent into madness’ playlist that would start with more comfortable EDM tracks and go down a rabbit hole into more obscure tunes, this idea ended up as the inspiration for the EP.”
Enjoy going down the spiral of bass with the Descent EP by Effin:
