Since Eric Prydz first debuted “NOPUS” in a live set at EDC Las Vegas in 2016, fans have been hoping for an official release of the hit track and today that wish has become a reality. Earlier today, the beloved Swedish producer released the track along after demand from fans in recent months. This marks the first time since 2016 that Prydz has released a track under his full name rather than an alias. His last album, Opus, was also debuted on the same stage as “NOPUS” at EDC Las Vegas. Both “NOPUS” and his iconic track “Opus” (from the album) are two of the most requested track IDs by Prydz fans.
Typically, Prydz produces tracks that are meant specifically for live shows rather than for releases. For that reason, his track IDs are heavily sought after as fans and DJs attempt to find the songs to add to playlists or setlist alike. Often times, Prydz does not release the tracks at all which makes the release of “NOPUS” a big move for Prydz and incredible news to fans. Over the last several years, Prydz has released plenty of tracks under his house alias Pryda and his techno name Cirez D.
Along with the track, Prydz has created a music video to accompany “NOPUS.” To create the video, his team pieced together a series of video collected over the years that features all of the moments “NOPUS” was performed in sets around the world. That way, fans can relive the memories and moments that surrounded the elusive track that is still an anthem years later. Check out the iconic track release here and prepare to be transported into another time via the music video.
