San Holo, a Dutch producer known for tapping into a deeper state of emotion through his music, has just released his third studio album, ‘EXISTENTIAL DANCE MUSIC.’ He takes us on a journey through the human mind and experience, expressing how music has been the most influential force in his life thus far.
“I started working on a new album exploring this inner journey, navigating through the ups and downs of life. I learned a lot about myself, and I’m still learning every day. For me, making music is a very direct way to get closer to my deeper self. Music is sacred and so therapeutic to me,” San Holo expresses when talking about EXISTENTIAL DANCE MUSIC.
While exploring the world through music, San Holo has been living out his dreams while still riding the same highs and lows we all face during our time on this planet. Struggling to define who he is outside of the constant motion and thoughts within his head, San Holo realized his desire wasn’t to find himself but to find peace.

San Holo kicks off the album with the powerful melodic ballad “IDK WHO I AM,” which delves deeply into what to expect throughout the entire album. After that, in a standout move that departs from the group’s typical sound, “SILENCE IN MY MIND,” featuring Sofie Winterson, gives us an indie-filled, upbeat future bass anthem. This track describes what it is like to battle but control the thoughts racing through your head at all times.
Keeping the vibrations on an all-time high with another track titled “ENERGY” featuring What So Not, he expresses through the fusion of melodic bass and live instruments what it’s like to enjoy another person’s energy without knowing how to process it.
The album also features collaborations from AURORA, Whethan, Lizzy Land, Selah Sol, and Bipolar Sunshine.
