On August 19 and 20, two of the most PLUR names in Insomniac’s repertoire, Factory 93 and Dreamstate, will come together for two days of music at the LA Waterfront.
Techno and trance have many similarities in both their sound and their audience, and these synergies will be explored at the new two-day event in Los Angeles.
Factory 93 is Insomniac’s techno brand, bringing together artists like Charlotte De Witte, Nicole Moudaber, Alan Fitzpatrick, and Boris Brejcha to introduce international heavyweights in the genre to the US.
Dreamstate highlights the best of trance and progressive at their annual festival, Dreamstate, and hosts performances by classic names like Aly & Fila, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, and more.
This new collaborative event showcases how the two genres often overlap, with artists like I Hate Models and Amelie Lens playing psytrance in their sets and elements of hard trance leaning into techno.
Techno and trance also are known for having some of the best crowds in terms of friendliness and their ability to simply focus on the music instead of the clout.
Not much is known about this new joint event with Factory 93 and Dreamstate, but the first to receive updates are those on the SMS notification community. The community can be joined here.
