Flying Lotus Delivers Two Singles From Upcoming Netflix Animé Series

Flying Lotus

Yasuke is set to release on April 29

Netflix will be releasing an upcoming animé series, Yasuke at the end of this month whose score is produced by American record producer and DJ, Flying Lotus.  Flying Lotus has gifted fans with the release of two individual tracks prior to the show’s release. Both ‘Black Gold‘ and ‘Between Memories‘ are the two tracks that Flying Lotus has delivered, with ‘Black Gold‘ serving as the opening track for the show.

Black Gold‘ features Thundercat, a longtime collaborator of Flying Lotus while ‘Between Memories‘ features Niki Randa and will serve as the song that plays throughout the shows ending credits. Both tracks are precisely curated towards the story of the show, which tells the story of a samurai warrior of African descent in an alternative universe set in 16th century Japan.

Flying Lotus has always enjoyed animé and has finally been given the opportunity to produce an original score for an animé series. We’re very confident that the soundtrack will fit perfectly with the T.V. series, and we’re very excited to hear it in its entirety as soon as the season releases.
