Four Tet, Fred again.., & Brian Eno To Release Collaborative Album, ‘Secret Life’

Four Tet has announced that this Friday Fred again.., and Brian Eno will drop a collaborative LP on his label Text Records called Secret Life.

Calling it “the most beautiful album of 2023,” Four Tet will release the album on his Text Records label.

Brian Eno is a longtime mentor of Fred again.., with Eno telling Billboard, “I think of Fred as my mentor as well in that I learnt so much about contemporary music from watching him working.”

He continued, “When I first worked with Fred I could see he was brilliant. It’s very clear. He’s a very very sensitive and good artist, and I was very impressed by that. But I didn’t really understand a lot of what he was doing. It took me quite awhile to think ‘Oh my gosh, this is really a new idea about how you can make music.’”

The album will also be available in vinyl and CD versions for fans to hold a physical piece of the new partnership.

Brian Eno is a legend in the industry, releasing his last album ForeverAndEverNoMore in October of 2022 as his 29th solo studio LP.

Eno is a pioneer in ambient music and a technological innovator, championing theory over practice, forever altering the way all genres of music were composed.

A celebrated producer, Eno has created tracks for rock and pop acts such as U2ColdplayDavid Bowie, and Talking Heads.
