France’s outdoor events have returned to full capacity
For the first time since March of 2020, all event-goers who have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccination or show proof of a negative test will be able to attend outdoor events at full capacity. For the past few months, France’s capacity limit had been limited to just 5,000 people, but as of yesterday (June 30th), France’s outdoor capacity limits have returned to normal. Nightclubs in France still have a little bit more time left before they are able to return to full capacity. As of now, France’s indoor events can currently operate at 75% capacity, but that will change later this month.
France expects nightclubs to reopen starting on July 9. According to the hospitality trade union UMIH, over 100 nightclubs out of 1,600 in France have permanently closed due to COVID-19. Once the country allows its nightclubs to fully reopen later this month, expect most of France’s indoor events to sell out in rapid fashion, considering the country has not been able to host an indoor event of scale in some time.
We will make sure to update you with all information regarding France’s reopening procedures once it becomes available.
