One of the co-founders of Fyre Festival, Billy McFarland, has his sights set on a new treasure hunt event in the Bahamas to be featured in a new documentary.
This news comes shortly after McFarland’s release from prison after serving four of his six sentenced years for crimes relating to Fyre Festival. The new venture will take place on the same island where the notoriously terrible festival took place in 2017.
Ample Entertainment will also film the treasure hunt event for a documentary entitled “After The Fyre” which will give viewers an inside look into what led McFarland back into the event-producing space.
The shamed coordinator did apologize on “Good Morning America” for the damage he caused to attendees, employees, vendors, and more, but time will only tell if the event is a hit or another entertaining crash-and-burn film.
