5 Reasons You Need to go to Get Lucky

So personally, Get Lucky (presented by V2) has been on my EDM event wishlist for years now. I’m half Irish and St. Patrick’s day is one of my favorite holidays. I always felt like nothing would be more fun than to combine my Irish heritage with my love for EDM. Unfortunately, I can’t make it to this year’s event so that’s why all of you should so I can live vicariously through you.

If you need more convincing, here are five damn good reasons you should go to Get Lucky:

  1. This is their biggest lineup to date
The lineup features a diverse curation of sounds over the festival’s two days. The lineup has something to interest everyone from Trance & House, to Dubstep & Trap. Besides headliners Datsik and Above & Beyond, this year’s Get Lucky includes Getter, Slander, AFK, Andrew Bayer, Buku, Cookie Monsta, Destructo, Drezo, Gabriel & Dresden, Jason Ross, Jayceeoh, Mat Zo, Mija, Parker, Paul Oakenfold, Riot Ten, Space Jesus, Spock, Wax Motif, Wooli, Wuki, and Yultron.
  2. You get to dress up in your finest St Patrick’s Day gear
Idk about you guys but one of my favorite parts about EDM events is the outfits and accessories; especially when there’s a theme. How could you go wrong decking yourself out in the finest shamrock and leprechaun gear to vibe out to some of the best DJs in the world? Sounds like a party to me.
  3. You can party for one night or both
Only want to catch the Friday night DJs? Can only make it Saturday? Trying to rage your face off the whole weekend? There’s a ticket available for everyone. Wanna splurge? Go for the VIP ticket to skip lines, have special viewing areas and more. Tickets are now on sale on the event’s website.
  4. Artists play at two action-packed stages throughout the weekend
The indoor “Celtic Palace” and outdoor “Tent of Gold” are the two prominent areas at Get Lucky. Each area features different styles on different nights to satisfy the musical tastes of all kinds of electronic music fans.
  5. V2 events are well worth it, Get Lucky is no exception
This festive event is brought to us by the same company that brings us Get Freaky, Decadence (Salt Lake City) and Das Energi. V2 Presents is the leading EDM promoter in Utah. They have been throwing electronic music events in the state since 2003 and steadily brought the scene from the underground to the mainstream.

This fest has really grown over the past 13 years since its inception, creating an unmatched experience for both Utah residents and out-of-state travelers.

The 2018 event will take place on the shores of The Great Saltair in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday and Saturday, March 9th & 10th.

Are you really gonna miss one of the most anticipated Spring EDM events on the west coast? Hopefully not!

I'm just a 20-something loud mouth, weirdo from Cleveland, Ohio. EDM is my whole life: dubstep/riddim, DnB, trap and house in that order. Home festivals are Lost Lands and Forest. You can find me on the rail at a show somewhere, wearing too much glitter and headbanging my worries away.
