Getter has officially announced his headline return.
After popping up on several summer festival lineups earlier this month, the dubstep heavyweight confirmed on Instagram today that his first show back after a two-year hiatus will go down in Los Angeles on July 4.
The California producer, DJ, and internet personality—real name Tanner Petulla—will team up with fellow West Coast bass staples Brownies & Lemonade to headline The Vermont Hollywood with a new set that’s been fittingly dubbed “Resurrection.” His last touring run as Getter ended at Decadence Arizona in 2023.
Addressing fans in a video on social media, Getter said: “My first show back in a couple fucking years. It’s gonna be sick. New music, hella vibes. If you’re trying to rage, you should slide. If not, it’s totally cool. But you’re gonna miss out because it’s gonna be lit.”
The artist went on to confirm that the LA gig is just one of “a bunch of shows he’s announcing” in the coming months, soon to join previously confirmed dates with SVDDEN DEATH in Nashville and at Goldrush in Arizona later in the summer.
After recent years spent cultivating his hip-hop project, Terror Reid, rumors of a Getter revival started circulating this past spring, as Petulla began reheating the project’s social media channels with content from his new “G/TR studio Streamz” on YouTube. More buzz came last month when he signed a deal with United Talent Agency and appeared at EDC Las Vegas to debut a heavy rework of Mike Posner’s “Cooler Than Me”—his first release since 2021.
Getter rose to dubstep prominence as a teenager over a decade ago, dishing out gnarly releases on Skrillex’s famous OWSLA imprint. Along with his innovative catalog, spanning riddim bangers like “Head Splitter” and “Bury Me” and genre-melding hits with $uicideboy$, Oliver Tree, and Joji, he is widely known as an actor and entrepreneur for his role in The Real Bros of Simi Valley television series.
