Glastonbury has unveiled the first batch of artists who will perform at the iconic British festival’s 54th edition this summer.
The multi-genre festival has announced an array of high-profile names in electronic music and beyond. This year’s four headliners include Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA and Shania Twain—taking Glastonbury’s coveted Sunday night legend slot.
Leading electronic acts confirmed on Glastonbury’s phase one bill include Disclosure, James Blake, Jamie xx, Justice, Peggy Gou, Honey Dijon, Eliza Rose, Bonobo and Faithless—returning to the live performance circuit after the death of frontman Maxi Jazz in 2022.
Pioneering duo Orbital and jungle torchbearer Nia Archives are also slated to perform, alongside UK dubstep trailblazers like Mount Kimbie and Skream & Benga.
Additional mixed-genre offerings at Glastonbury 2024 include alternative bands such as LCD Soundsystem, Jungle, IDLES, and The National, and singer-songwriters like Camila Cabello, Avril Lavigne, Romy, Brittany Howard and Declan Mckenna.
Mike Skinner’s The Streets will also perform, while hip-hop sets will come from UK rappers like Little Simz, Burna Boy and Headie One.
Check out Glastonbury’s full phase one lineup below. Lineups for specific areas, including dance music hotspots like the Beat Hotel, Arcadia, Block 9, Glade and Shangri-La, will be announced later.
This year’s programming announcement arrives after the longest wait for a Glastonbury lineup in 17 years, per Mixmag. In November, Glastonbury ticket sales were pushed back by two weeks, just hours before the festival’s initially planned ticket on-sale window.
According to a report from Ditto Music, 50 of the 95 acts confirmed for Glastonbury thus far are female or non-binary—comprising 52 percent of the lineup. Last year’s bill was criticized for lacking gender diversity, with male acts nearly doubling their female counterparts, according to a report from Slingo.
Ticket price controversy has surrounded this year’s festival, following a £75 (roughly $96 USD) increase since 2022. Despite this, 2024 Glastonbury tickets sold out in less than an hour.
Glastonbury will return to Worthy Farm in Somerset, England from June 26-30, 2024.
