Glastonbury Announces New Buying Process For 2025 Ticket Sales Next Week

Glastonbury

Music fans planning a trip to Glastonbury in 2025 should expect a different ticket-buying process when the festival’s passes go on sale next week.

Today, the world-famous festival revealed in a post on its website that it will introduce a new automatic queue system when online ticket sales for the 2025 edition begin on November 14 and 17.

Instead of refreshing the festival’s ticketing portal at the moment passes go on sale—6PM or 9AM respectively—buyers who are already on the page will be “randomly assigned a place in a queue,” organizers wrote.

Those who log on after the sale has begun will be placed in the back of the queue. As such, the statement urged Glastonbury hopefuls to be “online ready at least a few minutes before” the sale kicks off. Once in the queue, a progress bar will show buyers where they are in line.

Organizers also warned that “refreshing the page, using multiple tabs or many devices can look like suspicious behavior” and trigger the event’s anti-bot software. Therefore, buyers must only use one tab or device per IP address. Once at the front of the queue, they’ll have 10 minutes to purchase up to six tickets before their session expires.

If website traffic is particularly high, organizers noted that users may see a “reduced version” of the See Tickets booking interface and stressed that “this does not mean the site has crashed.”

Tickets for last year’s festival reportedly sold out in just 58 minutes, according to the BBC. Demand is expected to be high again this year, after longtime Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis hinted that the iconic festival might take a “fallow year” and forgo an edition in 2026.

As in previous years, fans are required to register for tickets in advance. Tickets for Glastonbury’s 55th edition, which returns to Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, England from June 25-29, 2025, will cost £373.50 plus a £5 booking fee (a little over $493 USD), according to the festival’s website.

Combined ticket and bus packages will go on sale at 6PM GMT (1PM EST) on Thursday, November 14. Regular general admission tickets will go on sale at 9AM GMT (4AM EST) on Sunday, November 17.

Tickets will be exclusively available at glastonbury.seetickets.com. Fans can register to purchase 2025 passes here.
