GRiZ has announced his 7th annual, ’12 Days of GRiZMAS,’ event series which will treat fans around the world to performances, activities, and community service initiatives which will help impact Detroit’s youth. GRiZ’s, ’12 Days of GRiZMAS’ has raised over $200,000 in the last two years and was first started back in 2014. GRiZ has partnered with non-profit Seven Mile to help raise funds for Detroit’s youth which would focus on raising money for music education, art programs, and coding lessons. Music education, coding, and art programs were areas of interest for GRiZ when he was growing up in Detroit, which is why he always wants to give back to his community in these specific areas as they had sparked his interest as a youth. GRiZ’s efforts have been seen as an, “Utterly sincere community effort,” by The Guardian.
GRiZ is looking to continue the success of his initiatives for Detroit’s youth by once again launching, ’12 Days of GRiZMAS.’ This year, the event series will feature events such as killer crafts & cocktails, online digital auctions, and yoga, among others. Fan’s have a chance to win GRiZ’s saxophone or the ability to have a joyful cookie baking night with GRiZ’s mom. A majority of GRiZ’s events will be streamed on Twitch or Zoom between December 12th and December 23rd. Fan’s have the opportunity to be featured on GRiZ’s global mic night by submitting performance videos in order to play a set alongside GRiZ’s friends. The event will culminate with performances from Destructo, AC Slater, Blunts & Blondes, and more in a closing, mini-festival experience titled, ‘GRiZMAS Digital Charity Festival.’
