Saxophone-playing bass artist and event curator GRiZ just announced an indefinite break from touring and a pause on the GRiZ project.
According to a post on social media, GRiZ will play his last show in October, and then take a long break, only returning to the stage when his gut tells him it’s right.
The final show will be announced this week at an intimate venue in a beautiful location he’s been wanting to use for a long time.
During this break, he says he will take more time to nurture relationships with family and friends, travel, find inspiration, and work on new music. He already has a quiet place in Michigan he will move to for parts of the year.
Unfortunately, he also confirmed that GRiZMAS, Space Camp, and New Year’s Eve events won’t be happening in either 2023 or 2024 with future years also up in the air.
Support has poured in from artists who understand how tough it is to constantly be on the road like DJ Diesel, The Sponges, Smoakland, Wreckno, and more.
Those hoping to see GRiZ before he goes on hiatus shouldn’t miss GRiZMAS in July, Denver Meow Wolf’s Vortex in August, or his final October performance announced soon.
Check out GRiZ’s announcement below and we wish him luck on his much-deserved break.
