Today, Beatport has announced a new partnership between famed dance music inclusivity brand HE.SHE.THEY. and their future-focused digital marketplace, Beatport.io, a blockchain-based platform where artists, labels and other creators can share “unique, verified digital projects”—a concept similar to NFTs.
The new KINSHIP project will celebrate diversity and HE.SHE.THEY.’s fifth anniversary with the help of 3D artist Enes Güç, who has created a “stunning visual representation of their story thus far, with a look forward to its future.”
The digital work will be joined by a new documentary from Beatport “following the brand’s fearless founders.”
Founded in 2017 by Sophia Kearney and Steven Braines, HE.SHE.THEY. has grown far beyond just its acclaimed event series to encompass a fashion brand and a record label, championing diversity and inclusion for all genders, races, and sexualities.
The brand has hosted events in 15 countries and 40 cities across the globe, including major festivals like Glastonbury and Kappa Futur, as well as iconic clubs like fabric, Cocoricò, and Amnesia Ibiza.
As part of the Beatport.io’s new KINSHIP collection, purchasers of a KINSHIP digital collectible will receive: access to the full widescreen image of Güç’s KINSHIP painting, access to the video premiere of Beatport’s Off The Record documentary with HE.SHE.THEY., access to HE.SHE.THEY. events in 2024, new music from the HE.SHE.THEY. label, and more.

It’s more than just an art project, it’s a movement in the hope of a more inclusive tomorrow.”
KINSHIP follows Beatport.io’s inaugural project NACHTS, brought to life by Berghain bouncer and techno photographer Mischa Fanghaenel, earlier this year.
