Beloved “queer block party for all,” Homobloc will return to Manchester’s Warehouse Project this fall on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
Curated with help from a number of UK-based LGBTQ collectives, the all-day party will run from 2PM to 4AM at Depot Mayfield’s massive 30,000+ square foot space.
Homobloc has once again built a huge lineup that focuses on elevating queer performers, with headliners like Mercury Prize nominee Jessie Ware, feminist musician and performance artist Peaches, and Aussie pop band Confidence Man.
Top dance music acts on the bill include SHERELLE B2B I. JORDAN, LSDXOXO, The Blessed Madonna, Romy, salute, David Morales and more.
This year, Homobloc will also occupy a never-before-seen roof space above Depot Mayfield, where fan-favorite club trio Horse Meat Disco will host a rooftop takeover.
The new area will be equipped for movie screenings, live podcasts, small music performances, merchandise pop-ups, and more.
Homobloc promoter Rod Connolly said, “For 2023 we have straddled the edges of queer culture to introduce fresh new sounds and textures from the alternative music scene, aligning them with some of the biggest names in electronic and dance music to create a unique international party busting with nitty-gritty northern queer energy.”
Connolly said Homobloc has upped the ante this year by growing charity partners to offer resources to the Trans community and support independent artists and creatives within the Greater Manchester Area.
