John Summit‘s long-awaited remix of deadmau5 and Kaskade‘s iconic track “I Remember” is finally coming this Friday.
Since its release in 2008, “I Remember” has been a celebrated anthem across the world of electronic dance music, and now 15 years later, has once again returned to the forefront of the scene.
Earlier this week, deadmau5 took to Instagram, teasing the new remix that has now become synonymous with John Summit’s beloved high-energy performances.
Today John Summit posted the same clip on Twitter to confirm that “I Remember (John Summit Remix)” will release on mau5trap this coming Friday, July 7, adding a statement that reads:
“such an honor to remix this record.. it was truly the track that made me fall in love w dance music and kick off this whole journey for me.. to remix it 15 years later is such a full circle moment.”
Further adding to the full-circle sentiment, Kaskade and deadmau5 have supported Summit from the outset of his career.
A year ago, the duo tapped Summit for a remix of their hit Kx5 single “Escape,” and also invited him to be the main support for their huge LA Coliseum show, cementing his status as the next big thing.
Check out the teaser clip below.
