ILLENIUM Launches Fan-Designed Jersey Contest

If you’ve been to an EDM show in the last decade, you’ve probably seen them. Button-up No. 3 baseball jerseys with the name ILLENIUM arched across the back have become commonplace in the scene, worn by the melodic bass superstar’s adoring fans, whether he’s playing or not.

Now, ILLENIUM is giving fans a chance to put their very own design spin on his iconic uniform to be released as official merchandise in a new contest. Announced yesterday, the competition invites creatives and designers to reimagine ILLENIUM’s famous jersey and submit their designs for consideration via the online creative platform Oditi.

“I’m always in awe of the incredible fan-created art and merchandise I see at my shows. The Illenium jersey has become a symbol of our amazing fan base, and now I wanna see your take on it,” ILLENIUM—real name Nick Miller—wrote on Instagram yesterday.

Fans will vote on the collected design submissions, and the mock-ups will be presented to the artist and his team in the order of votes received. Selected winners will have their design released as an official merchandise collaboration with ILLENIUM, who will debut the design on stage. Winners will also be invited to meet the DJ and producer at a show in their country and receive $1,500 in prize money.

Submissions must include both front and back views of the garment, and designs must make use of the traditional ILLENIUM jersey shape, font, and number and follow the standard placement of logos. All designs must also be original and owned by the designer. Organizers have provided a blank jersey template that is available for free download on the contest page.

Participants must upload their designs to Oditi by the submission deadline on August 4 to be considered. All community votes must be made by August 7, and the winner will be revealed on August 16.
