Insomniac and Tomorrowland have unveiled the first artists set to perform at UNITY, the powerhouse electronic promoters’ new joint audiovisual show at the Las Vegas Sphere.
After unveiling the historic link-up in March, the respective producers of the two largest electronic festivals in the world announced UNITY’s opening weekend artists on social media today, locking in drum & bass icons Chase & Status for August 29, deep house favorite Kaskade on August 30, and techno standout Eli Brown on August 31.
Kicking off UNITY’s first sold-out run on labor day weekend, these respective artists will close out each night of the visual-led spectacle, following an immersive guided experience that journeys through each brand’s distinctive creative universes, including Tomorrowland’s Planaxis, Adscendo and Orbyz themes, and Insomniac’s festival worlds, such as Beyond Wonderland, Nocturnal Wonderland, Escape, Countdown, and EDC.
Each audiovisual show is soundtracked by a selection of timeless dance anthems, reimagined with cinematic arrangements and brought to life with a live orchestra and electronic instrumentation, according to organizers. More special guests will be revealed on the night of the show.
Described by the two brands as a “multi-sensory celebration of music and mind-altering visuals,” where “the magic of Tomorrowland and Insomniac become one,” according to the event’s website, UNITY will later return to the Sphere for another round of shows from September 19 to October 18. Artists for the second run of shows will be revealed soon.
