Jamie XX Releases Notting Hill Carnival-Inspired Track “KILL DEM”

On the heels of his performance at Portola in San Francisco this weekend, Jamie xx just released a track inspired by Notting Hill Carnival entitled “KILL DEM”.

According to the producer, “KILL DEM” pays homage to Notting Hill Carnival where he performed for the first time earlier this year. The track uses intense club beats to create energy that perfectly accompanies the inspired steel drums and vocals.

Notting Hill Carnival is a celebration of the Caribbean holiday’s sounds, food, and culture that has taken place in London since the 1960s.

Jamie XX previously took a large gap between releases, “KILL DEM” being his second since 2020. But he has not been shy about performing in 2022 as he had a closing set at Coachella and will perform at both CRSSD Festival in San Diego and Portola in San Francisco this weekend.
