Jamie xx Unveils Massive World Tour In Support Of New LP, ‘In Waves’

Jamie xx

Jamie xx has announced a massive international tour in support of his new album, In Waves.

The award-winning British producer, DJ, and founding member of The xx will celebrate the release of his sophomore solo LP across the whopping 49-date headline run, which is already underway following two homecoming shows at London’s famous Alexandra Palace last week.

“Last week the In Waves Tour started in London and I’m about to take it on the road, all around the world,” Jamie xx—real name Jamie Smith—wrote on Instagram yesterday. “This is gunna be funnn!”

The world tour will continue today, October 2, in Mexico City ahead of festival stops at Arizona’s FORM Arcosanti and Miami’s III Points and a South American leg visiting Buenos Aires, Santiago, and São Paulo through the end of the month.

In November and December, an Asia and Australia leg will see Jamie xx play Taipei, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney, and more before he returns to North America for dates in New York, Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Philadelphia, among other cities. He’ll also play European gigs in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, and more.

In Waves landed on London-based Young Recordings on September 20, marking the third LP under Jamie xx’s dancefloor-focused solo project and his first since In Colour arrived in 2015. The new album features hit singles like “Baddy On The Floor” with Honey Dijon, “Life” with Robyn, and “All You Children” with The Avalanches, in addition to a reunion of The xx bandmates on “Waited All Night.”

Jamie xx’s latest batch of tour dates follows the artist’s club residency series, “The Floor,” which comprised five shows in Los Angeles and five shows in New York in July and August, each featuring an open-to-close performance.

Check out the complete list of dates for Jamie xx’s 2024 “In Waves” world tour in the post below. Tickets will be released to the general public on Friday, October 4 at 10AM local time.
