John Summit and Sub Focus have officially set a release date for their highly anticipated collaboration.
“It’s finally coming,” Summit wrote on Instagram today, announcing that “Go Back” featuring Julia Church will arrive this Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Back in November, Summit announced that he had completed over 30 tracks during a trip to the UK “to do nothing but write music.” Among those productions were “Shiver” with Hayla, other reported collaborations with Elderbrook and Becky Hill, and the new tune with Sub Focus.
“We’re trying to do something that fuses both of our sounds,” Sub Focus said of the house and drum & bass crossover track, speaking to EDM Maniac during Miami Music Week this past March.
Soon after, Sub Focus gave the track its live debut during his WORSHIP tour stop at LA’s Hollywood Palladium, with Summit joining him on stage for the landmark moment.
Fast-forward a few months, and the ID now known as “Go Back” has become a fan-favorite selection in recent sets from the pair of esteemed producers, also notably appearing in Summit’s Coachella back-to-back with Dom Dolla in April.
With “Go Back” slated for release just one day before EDC Las Vegas kicks off this weekend, fans can expect the new tune to feature heavily at Insomniac’s annual mega-rave, where both Summit and Sub Focus will perform twice in three days.
