The Rising Alternative Artist JOKR Drops Dualistic EP, ‘Identity Crisis’

Up-and-coming artist JOKR is showcasing both the light and dark sides of his sound with his just-released, two-song concept EP, Identity Crisis.

The first track, “Day,” is more positive and uplifting, accompanied by a nostalgic music video set in a theme park.

Then “Night” turns the record on its head, adding heavier bass and a club-centric feel further emphasized by the homemade, party-lifestyle visuals.

JOKR spoke about the EP on his social media stating, “I’ve always felt like there were two sides to who I am and the music that I make. One calling for the lighter, feel good, and one for the absolute darkness. I wanted to make art that demonstrated that so I decided to make two versions of the same song.”

He continued, “This is one of my favorite tracks I’ve ever created and it was so amazing working with Esqemo to create a true story about my past relationship experiences.”

JOKR is quickly rising in the EDM scene, offering support for chart-topping artists like Ghastly, NGHTMRE, Slushii, and more.
