London-based Drum & Bass legends KOVEN have teamed up with A.M.C to unveil their monster collaboration, “Hooked” on UKF.
Both KOVEN and A.M.C are hailed Drum & Bass legends in the UK and after both producing music for over a decade, this collaboration is long overdue.
“Hooked” is an emotional and high-energy track, speaking on the phenomenon of being “hooked” on someone. In relationships, this can mean you (the listener) have lost control of their feelings and can’t help themselves but be attracted to someone, regardless of whether it is the best for them in the long run.
The track is made even more personal with powerful vocals from KOVEN’s Katie Boyle.
KOVEN consists of Max Rowat and Katie Boyle. Rowat started the KOVEN project in 2011 and added Boyle as the lead vocalist in 2014. With a decade of experience under their belt, the duo has made waves in the music industry and played some of the world’s biggest music festivals such as Tomorrowland and are slated to play at EDC Las Vegas next month.
A.M.C also known as Alex Mark Calvert started his project in 2007 and is known as a Drum & Bass savant. Starting his own record label in 2011, Titan, he has proven to be a force in the landscape of Drum & Bass.
Together, “Hooked” combines Rowat, Boyle, and Calvert’s best sounds into an epic sonic journey about love.
