One of the most influential electronic groups of the last 50 years is ready to set off on a tour of Australia and New Zealand for the first time in over a decade.
Kraftwerk, the German electronic band formed in 1970 and often considered as the pioneer of electronic music, will make their return to Australia and New Zealand in November—their first down under tour since May 2013.
Kraftwerk will begin the tour in New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington at the TSB Arena before making stops in Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and elsewhere throughout Australia.
The Grammy-winning band will also headline the three-day techno and synthpop-focused Meredith Music Festival at the “Supernatural Ampitheatre” in the Australian state of Victoria on December 9, 2023.
Kraftwerk is deemed largely responsible for ushering in a new wave of music at the end of the 20th century, with cult classics like “Das Model” and “Computer Love” completely redefining the way people thought about music and performance art in the digital age.
Registration for pre-sale tickets to Kraftwerk’s Australia and New Zealand tour is available now here. Pre-sale tickets will become available on Monday, July 17 at 11AM local time. General sale will start on Wednesday, July 19 at 10AM local time.
