LA Gives Back Reveals Eclectic Party Curators For Wildfire Relief Charity Show

LA Gives Back

An eclectic group of Los Angeles’ top independent promoters and nightlife brands are coming together for a special wildfire relief edition of the city’s annual LA Gives Back charity concert.

Presented by California promoters IHEARTCOMIX, Brownies & Lemonade, Another Planet Entertainment (APE), and Teragram, LA Gives Back: Fire Relief will take place at The Bellwether on January 29, with 100 percent of proceeds pledged to local charities supporting people impacted by the wildfires that have destroyed many communities across the city, organizers announced last week.

Though the full lineup will remain under wraps, organizers have today revealed a full roster of Los Angeles’ most iconic independent electronic music brands and party outfits who are set to curate the event’s secret guest performances on the night.

Representing the many faces of LA’s heralded nightlife scene, the eclectic roster includes tastemaking bass music brand Brownies & Lemonade, famed pop-punk party series Emo Nite, indie-dance party Electric Feels, underground house and techno outfit Lights Down Low, Latin-Caribbean club collective Pangea Sound, and the infamous Shrek Rave, among others.

Also lending their curatorial expertise are beloved queer-friendly parties A Club Called Rhonda and Heav3n, known for their respectively Y2K-centric and burlesque events, as well as Diplo’s Mad Decent label, Ninja Tune’s Los Angeles team, and local production studio Production Club.

Previous editions of LA Gives Back, usually held around the holidays to raise money for area charities, have hosted performances from Zedd, Bonobo, Madeon, Boys Noize, A-Trak, Louis The Child, and many more.

The upcoming show is one of many wildfire relief benefit concerts launched around the country in response to the Los Angeles fires, which have killed 27 people, destroyed more than 15,000 structures, and burned over 60 square miles since they broke out on January 7, per CBS News.
