Lane 8 has announced a U.S. tour kicking off this spring.
The 2025 “Childish Tour” will see the melodic and deep house staple—real name Daniel Goldstein—play 14 headline dates in support of his new fifth studio album, Childish. The 10-track project, which Goldstein says draws inspiration from his experience as a father, arrived on his own This Never Happened label on September 27, marking his first full-length LP since 2022’s Reviver.
The tour will kick off at Seattle’s WAMU Theater on February 28, 2025, before touching at heralded venues like the Roseland Theater in Portland, Daly City, California’s Cow Place, Chicago’s Navy Pier, The Armory in Mineeapolis, and Atlanta’s Coca-Cola Roxy, and coming to a close at Dallas’ South Side Ballroom on April 19. Check out the complete list of dates below.
Announcing the tour on Instagram yesterday, Goldstein wrote, “making this album was about getting lost in the experience of creative expression, and in a way that feels like a reflection of what we’ve been doing with these @thisneverhappened events since 2016. i don’t think childish would have come together the way it did, if i hadn’t shared so many joyous show moments with you all over the last 8 years.”
As is custom with all This Never Happened events, Goldstein went on to confirm that each stop on the tour will feature a phone and photo-free dancefloor as the label continues to work with its locking phone pouch partner, Yondr.
“i have always felt passionate about TNH shows because of the incredible energy and connection we get to experience; it’s definitely the only way i can imagine bringing childish on the road,” Goldstein wrote of the no-phones model. “needless to say i am really, really excited for these shows!!”
