Lilly Ahlberg, a multifaceted talent based out of London, has just released her new single, “Hit The Ground” out on Destructivo.
Part of Tileyard Music Group, Destructivo is home to some of Alberg’s other grand releases.
“Hit The Ground” is a future house production featuring Alberg’s angelic vocals. What begins with a beautiful piano ballad and Ahlberg’s storyline singing, turns into a freeing dance track once the beat drops.
Hinting at heartbreak and uncertainty, this song tackles the confusion Alberg (and listeners) feel when relationships change and whether or not to hold onto those people.
“I wrote this song about the struggles of deciding whether to end a relationship that’s changed. It’s about the uncertainty of whether to let it go or to hold on,” said Ahlberg on her creative process.
Ahlberg is half English and half Swedish, but has lived across the globe in Australia, Italy, Norway, and more. Her travels have allowed her to be even more creative with her musical process, as she has influences across the globe.
She has even collaborated with none other than Sonny Fodera multiple times, releasing both “The Moment” and “Closer” with the critically acclaimed house producer.
Finding success with her YouTube page, Lilly Ahlberg began her musical journey posting covers of popular songs on the video-sharing website.
Once she had gained enough traction, she began writing and releasing her own songs. While she has had her vocals featured on many tracks, she’s now garnering production credits with 2023’s “Come So Far” and hopes to continue her production journey this year.
